1. When do they leave on a mission?Boys 18years, Girls 19 as of 2013
2. Can they go swimming?
No. Safety reasons.
3. Why are they always together?
2 Corinthians 13:1 This is the third time I am coming to you. In the mouth of two or three witnesses shall every word be established.
* on a side note our Contitution is built from this belief of two witness.
Article III- No person shall be convicted of treason unless on the testimony of two witnesses to the same overt act, or on confession in open court.
4. Why do they have a Book of Mormon and not just the bible.
Refer back to number 3.
5. Do they have a good time?
They have a damn good time in Leeds England. (A little Biased.)
6. Who pays for them to go around the world or another state and preach?
They do. They save from the time they are young to serve the Lord. ( or the parents.)
You decided who would get the most from their mission.
7. What is their purpose? To bring more numbers for the Mormons?
Mark 16:15 - And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
8. When do they come home? Does it always have to be 1 year.
Boys are typically 2 years, with exceptions of medical issues.
Girls are 1 1/2 years.
Senior couples break all the rules. As long as the want or where they want.
9. Why would I want my boy to go on a mission at the fresh age of 18 when he could get two years of college accopmpished in that time?
He will come back a man if he faithfully served the Lord in all his labors. His experiences will be priceless and effect him for the most important time in his life- when he is decideing his future!
10. Do all boys have to go on a mission? No. HIghly encouraged, but it is not possible for some with other circumstances that have called them on another sort of mission in life.
We are all on a mission!
Did he change when he came back from serving from two years?
"You just had to be there."
